A Topographic Survey is a detailed and accurate graphic representation of both natural and man-made features on the ground such as buildings, fences, valleys, hills, streams, ponds, lakes, roads, etc. These surveys are performed by field methods and or by aerial photography methods.
This type of survey may be required by a government agency, or may be used by Engineers and/or Architects for the design of improvements or developments on a site.
